Every color has a special effect on your body, mind and soul. Indian medical sciences say that colors are influenced by the chakras in the body which channel body functions.

Indigo Color Can Restore Your Vital Energies

God has provided man everything in nature for his well being. Vegetables, roots, nuts and fruits in various colors have been given to us for our good health. Colors have great impact on health and utilizing colors is one way you can help yourself to have holistic health. You absorb a color vibration as it travels, via the nervous system, to the part of the body that needs it. Mother Nature is a great healer. Each body has its own optimum state of well-being and is constantly seeking ways to maintain or restore a balanced state through nature.

Make use of the colors in nature

Colors are God-given healing energies in nature. Naturally you have a liking to certain colors. That can show even your characters. Each color has a special power of action. Drink in the color through your eyes until you feel satiated and pleasant. Wear dresses in the needed colors. Eat fruits and vegetables of the color you need.

Power of the color indigo

Indian medical sciences say that the energy of indigo color is governed by the Brow Chakra, which is appropriately called the ‘Third Eye.’ The nerve spot of this chakra is located on the forehead between the eyes and gives power to the pituitary gland, which is linked to the nervous system, mental abilities, and psychic potential in all humans. It allows you to withdraw to obtain peace, quiet, and freedom to stretch boundaries and is also the source for intuition, clairvoyance, extra-sensory perception. The sense organs such as the eyes, skin and ears are influenced by indigo. Purple or indigo combines the blood-warming red color and the cooling antiseptic color blue.

Unani medicines cure diseases with indigo

Dr.Akbar Kauser, an Indian Unani physician says, “Indigo is a divine color that can rejuvenate any one and assure health. It refreshes mind and enriches hormone flow. It calms the mind and lowers body heat.” With things of indigo color he treats patients who suffer from sinus troubles, wheezing, migraine, blocking nose, kidney stones, etc. He suggests to use the purple or indigo colored Jamun or black plum tree fruits which are found everywhere in the South East Asian countries.

Indigo colored frits and vegetables

Indigo or purple colored vegetables are considered to be very rich in antioxidants and contain large amounts of phytochemicals vital for our immunity. It is claimed that these antioxidants reduce cancer risks, improve your memory and keep your skin looking young and healthy for longer. Some of the purple colored fruits are: purple grapes, elderberries, purple figs, dried plums, and raisins. There are also purple colored vegetables such as purple asparagus, purple cabbage, eggplant, and purple carrots.

The Indian jamun or black plum fruits

The Indian jamun or black plum fruits are purple in color. As the fruit ripens the purple color turns into black. We can see them in many Indian temples. The fruits are used for making jam, wine, vinegar and jelly. The fruits and seeds are used in the treatment of diabetes.

Dr.Akbar says indigo is the secret of rejuvenation and vitality. Alternative medicines using color therapy give much importance to the color indigo.
