If you were told that it is not at all difficult to lose weight and it does not require money, other than some initial investment which I am sure you will be more than happy to spend, I am sure you will definitely go for it.

Losing Weight is not difficult

We all want to lose weight and lose weight fast .At the same time are we doing the right things to lose weight or are we dreaming about it and making plans without taking any action? In most cases this is what happens - the person wants to lose weight for health reasons or for cosmetic reasons but fails to do anything constructive about it.

The reasons for this inactivity may be because they feel that they have to follow a strict diet and also do rigorous exercise , may be even spend money on gadgets. Either way, their lose weight plans remain strictly within their head. On the other hand if you were told that it is not at all difficult to lose weight and it does not require money, well may be it does have some initial investment which I am sure you will be more than happy to spend after reading this article, I am sure you will definitely go for it.

Let me show you how you can lose weight without going to the gym, taking any diet pills or going in for liposuction or for any other surgery that can only lead to complications in later years.
All that it requires is a few steps and changes which help you lose weight and once you follow these steps you will realise how easy it is to lose weight.

Motivation Is All That It Takes

Nothing can happen without motivation .They say faith can move mountains, so we need to have faith in ourselves, that we can do it and our target is achievable. It is very essential for a person to lose weight. When you motivate yourself, you tend to think about it all the time which means you are also looking at all options that are practical and within your reach. Once you get highly motivated you also start taking some practical steps to put your lose weight plan into action.

Now let us break this down into smaller segments and see how you can sustain your motivational levels without it affecting your daily routine and life style.

1, Any action is better than no action, - So, if you are in front of your PC or in your office, make it a point to move every 60 minutes and walk around or do some job that needs to be done for at least 3-4 minutes . Just keep these facts in mind – you walk anywhere between 65 -75 steps every minute depending on your height and the length of your legs , so when you walk for 3 minutes you would have walked 215 steps or a little more. If you can do this 3-4 times when you are in the office or when you are browsing you would be walking about 860 steps which helps in a small way.

2, Next come the phone calls - We make or get 3-4 phone calls some of which last 2-3 minutes .Please do not let this opportunity go waste. The moment your cell phone rings make sure that you start walking until your call is ended . I do this all the time now and that too automatically knowing fully well that I am adding on steps to my daily count. So, 3 phone calls each day with an average of 3 minutes will add another 650-700 steps. Longer and more number of calls the better for you of course ! So 2000 steps a day means you are burning 20 -25 calories depending on your body weight.

3, Now comes the expenditure part – It is good to invest in a weighing machine or bathroom scales. Make it a point to check your weight every single day and let me tell you from my own experience that this is the greatest motivator of all. When you see your weight has come down slightly you want to lose some more. On the other hand if you have gained a few grams you want to lose it and you will take steps to do it. The next investment is on a pair of good walking shoes which you can wear at home and believe me it motivates you to walk more because it feels so light and firm on your feet.

3, One more necessary expenditure is investing in a pedometer that keeps you on your track by giving you facts and figures. You can clip it on to your trouser first thing in the morning and take it off at night before you sleep. This does not cost much but I know how much it has helped me and kept me on track.

4, You will also start counting calories and looking up charts to see how many calories different food items contain and start planning your menu based on these findings and automatically cut down on fat, oil and butter. Don’t overdo it because a little butter is good for you and there is no harm in having a piece of cake or fried snacks once in a way. Since you are motivated you will also make sure that you cut down elsewhere to make up for your indulgence.

Drink Water

So now that motivation has set in , there are a few other things you need to do to lose weight efficiently and on top of the list comes water. Drinking water can help you lose weight.

Drink 2 glasses of water religiously, 15 minutes before every meal and you will find yourself eating less and when you consider the long time benefits of this you will be astonished. You end up eating at least 50 -60 calories less after you drink 2 glasses of water. So if you have 3 or 4 meals you end up taking in roughly 150 – 200 calories less in a day.

So, in a week you are taking around 1400 calories less than you did. Remember that one kilogram of fat contains 3500 calories which means , that combined with your walking you will successfully and very easily lose one kilo or more than a kilogram in a month’s time.
Drinking more water has other advantages too like your system remains cleansed and your skin and hair glows.

As you can see, it is not at all difficult to lose weight if you do the right things and make a few changes in your lifestyle and routine. I have given these tips based on my own experience. I do not want to go in for any drastic weight reduction but a slow and steady reduction and I have lost about 6 kilograms in 8 months and am planning to lose some more weight in the same manner without feeling stressed or putting any extra effort. If I can do it, you too can definitely do it.
