Meditation is a process that allows your conscious mind to relax and discard of all the stress. Why do we need to that? How can we do meditation? This is what you'll recognize when you read this article.

Visual and mental sight

Our eyes are our visual window on the universe and information we get through this visual window helps us to make instant decisions , and to store data in our minds in the form of memories. If you're wearing any eye wear that is not clean, you will receive distorted information. As a result of distorted visual data we might make incorrect decisions.
What if a person was born blind? Blind people also have a means of visualizing the world internally. They picture things in their minds. They see the universe by senses
They use their imagination to see pictures of people, flowers, trees, the sky. They also create an imagination for the green plants, the red roses, the white clouds.

Visualization

Visualization is any technique for creating images, diagrams, or animations to communicate a message. Visualizing the past or future is much less important for people, but it is sometimes amusing. Memories of the past sometimes deliver joy to the present. Sometimes we remember our mistakes to learn from them. Projecting possible outcomes can be fun too. Imagining the future can be a pleasurable experience too, planning for the future is important as well.

Visualization of the past or future becomes a problem when it concentrates on negative themes only. It is easy to fall into regret for the past, and to worry about the future and it can be waste of time. As we're doing this process we might accumulate some unwanted impurities on the lens of our mind’s eye that see imaginary things. That causes distortion that decreases the ability to focus effectively on the present.

It is better to clean the lens we use to visualize. The best way to clean the lens of the mind’s eye is through meditation.

What is meditation?

The word meditation, is derived from two Latin words : meditari(to think, to dwell upon, to exercise the mind) and mederi (to heal). Its Sanskrit derivation 'medha' means wisdom.
Meditation is not a worship or prayer. Meditation means awareness. Whatever you do with awareness is meditation. "Watching your breath" is meditation; listening to the birds is meditation. Meditation is calming our minds by focusing on something non-stressful, such as one’s breathing or a quiescent word, phrase, image or visual point of focus.
Medically, the action of focusing moves blood away from the fight center of your brain toward the calming center and that makes your brain feel better.
Mentally, it clears the mind of excessive past and future visualizations, and let you focus more on present where you actually live your life because the only time which is actually happening is now and not the past,and not what will probably happen in the future.

Is there a Technique for Meditation?

Meditation is not a technique but a way of life. to do meditation we focus on something simple: your breath, a picture, a song or a music just focus on a real thing. Try to think deeply of what your focusing in and relax your body and mind.

Thanks for sharing it, Kafsoa. Meditation gives us a way to escape from our stressed life. I have been doing it for almost a year. It's good.

Before I try meditation I thought it's just fooling, but after trying meditation I felt different especially before you sleep, you get a relaxed quiet and nice sleep.

Yes I too believe that meditation is a way of life, but once you get the will to live it, you will feel a sense of fulfillment that no other can bring.
