Operation due in five days on my back and totally stressed out

Operation and recovery

Hi all. This is my first post here and I thought it was a good time to start, basically I am due in hospital this coming Friday for a operation on my back and I have to tell you that I have never been so stressed. I am stressing about both the operation itself and the recovery, I would like to reach out to others that have been in the same situation and ask how did you cope. How did you manage to stop all the stressing and to think straight rather than worrying about the the impending operation. Did the operation go well, was it a success and how did you cope during the recovery period. Any advise would be a great help. I suppose I should just stop being a big baby and get on with it. Thanks for reading.
