A bit of a motivation piece for those who know they need to be working out, desire to work out, and don't have the self motivation they need in order to get the work out done.

Motivation: Just Do It

One of the hardest things for me to do is to motivate myself when it comes to exercising. I absolutely loathe the experience and the results do not come as quick as I would like for it to. My health is on the line, so I have to. It really is do or die, and Lord knows I am no ways near ready to go yet. I have too many things to do.

But finding this self-motivation just to get up and go at it, does not come easy for me. I will think of any excuse not to work out. I have come to the conclusion though, that I just have to do it. Just like Nike... Just do it. I have found not thinking about it and just going for it makes it a lot easier on me. I have found that doing things in intervals also helps a lot. Also when I count, I only count to ten. I think counting up makes me feel like I am just doing too much. But what I have also found that counting to ten makes it easier for me to reach my goal a lot faster.

The mind is a very tricky thing. So if you are having troubles keeping yourself motivated in anything, just remember that you have to just find what trick would best work for your mind and go with it. I psyche my mind out all of the time just to get a goal accomplished, even with writing I have to do that sometimes.

Also, before I go, another great way to get yourself motivated in what you are trying to do is publicize it. Putting yourself on blast will keep you motivated enough, because now you have other people that are looking and waiting on your results to see if they want to follow suit. Anyway you can just do not give up and keep it moving. You will be satisfied with the outcome. And do not wait until the new year to become the new you. The new year is not promised, so the sooner the better it is just to get yourself growing.

Happy motivation guys!!!! Praying that whatever your goal is, you really do go for it and it comes to great success!!! Remember you are not lying to others, but yourself and that is the worst. So don't cheat yourself, treat yourself! (No pun intended)

Thanks Crystal for the motivation. Lots of excuses not to do what is needed but there is only one way to do it - just do it. I cannot discipline myself to do regular exercise and I do admire those who can without fail and even look forward to it - siva

Yes, the only way to do it is just go for it. Don't try to come up with ways on what is a better exercise to do... simply start by walking/jogging/running. You'll find that that exercise alone can workout the whole entire body! So it just starts with a simple step and keep it moving! You can do it! I believe in you!

I am such a procrastinator! Getting motivated is sooo hard for me. Thanks for the tips, I totally see putting myself on blast working.
