Natural Skincare Recipes

Aren't we are all looking for natural ingredients in our cosmetics today? Natural ingredients are the best thing for your skin. Did you know that you can use what you already have in your kitchen to clean, exfoliate and moisturize your skin?

You can make your own skin treatments from these natural ingredients for every type of skin. The ingredients from natural homemade skin care will soothe your skin and will never over dry it, and you will save tons of money!

A note on using natural skincare: The recipes that I have recommended are very messy, and because they are real foods, you will need to find a place in your home where you can clean up the mess easily after your beauty treatments. Also these mixtures do not have any preservatives so you can only use them once and then throw away whatever remains in your dish.

Here are a few mixtures that I like:

Olive Oil Moisturizer:
Try olive oil as a moisturizer. I personally use this as a moisturizer and love it! I have a little bit of redness due to sensitive skin around my cheeks and nose. When I use olive oil before bed, I wake up in the morning and my skin looks unbelievable.

Egg and Honey Mask:
Mix egg yolk and honey in a dish for a great face mask. Put it on your skin (it's kind of messy so apply it carefully), leave it on for 20 minutes, and then rinse it off. It is excellent for sensitive skin. I also add olive oil to this mix sometimes if I want a little extra moisture.

Avocado Mask:
Mash up some avocados for a great treatment for dry skin, smooth it onto your face, leave it on for 20 minutes and then rinse off. Honey, lemon and olive oil is a really good home made moisturizer for your dry skin. Apply this to your skin and leave it on for about 10 to 15 min. then rinse it off with warm water.

Brown Sugar and Honey Scrub:
Use brown sugar and honey with a drop or two of water for a fantastic exfoliator! Don't over rub with it though if you have sensitive skin. (Just rub it gently). Then rinse your face off with warm water.

Oily Skin Egg Mask:
For oily skin use egg yolk. It will dry up any excess oil. Apply it to your skin with a cotton ball and leave on for 15 min. then rinse it off with cold water. For oily skin astringent use lemon juice from fresh lemons. Squeeze fresh lemon in a dish and use a cotton ball and apply to the oiliest spots on your face. Then rinse off with warm water.
