During summer, our bodies lose lots of water. Along with water, many vital nutrients are also lost. Our health suffers. To give the body the nutrients it needs, we have to drink plenty of water and fruit juices. Fruits like lemon, orange and melon can help you. Make a drink or have them straight.

Finding ways to beat the summer heat

Summer time is fun time. It is vacation time in many places around the world. It is also the time when people go shopping. However, summer can prove detrimental to your health. Water is lost from the body because the metabolism uses water to cool the body. Water evaporation helps cool the body. To make up for this, you have to drink lots of fluids, water and juices.

When the body gets hot, more water is sent out of the body. When water amount becomes less, there is dehydration. This can lead to dizziness and nausea if you do not replenish the body water soon. Try eating fruits like papaya, watermelon, banana and oranges.

Eat or drink fruits and fruit juices

Fruits like melons, oranges, papaya and lemons are great ways to replenish nutrients. Make juices using a blender or dice them and eat them. Have at least one fruit a day. A good idea would be to stock them up in the refrigerator so that you do not run out of refreshments.
