Overcoming Anxiety

"Anxiety is feeling unrealistic fear, worry, and uneasiness, usually generalized and unfocused. It is often accompanied by restlessness, fatigue, problems in concentration, and muscular tension." - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anxiety

Today I would like to discuss another topic that most of us should be aware about this kind psycho-social problem.

It begins with increasing tedious daily tasks, unplanned activities and other life’s eventualities may lead to deep feeling of ANXIETY. More people today and in every walk of life are experiencing different level of undesirable inner pressure and if left unresolved it may lead develop an inner feeling of lasting discomfort.

So what shall we need to do about it and how we may possibly maintain our composure with this sudden strange feeling of uneasiness?

Here are some of my personal suggestions:

1. When Anxiety strikes, you should master the ability to REMAIN CALM and practice it in a way that you can wisely avoid decisions that can worsen your feeling of uncertainty. Remember, there is no substitute for being calm in any given situation in life.

2. To overcome or to handle ANXIETY, you must learn to help yourself identify the real cause of it. Like for instance, you may be unaware that emotional issues are related to symptoms of anxiety. In my judgment RECOGNITION to the source of this maladaptive response in the second step overcoming it.

3. The next step is RECALLING the METHODS you have made in the past on how you conquer ANXIETY and then you should willingly and voluntarily apply it to your present condition. Better to start doing what you solution you have already tested and proven rather than creating new one that will eventually lead you to a deeper felling unknown emotional condition.

These all I can suggest for now and I hope it will help you a little to ease your anxiety. Have a wonderful day.

I have often found , my friend , that when I have dis-ease in my mind , the anxious thoughts follow , and until I deal with the source of the problem , or hand the situation over to the Lord those same anxieties remain .
