anxiety is one health condition that many people go through but they fail to realize, here is a brief description of the pathophysiology of anxiety that can help us when we really are not sure of what we maybe going through.

Anxiety and your health

Pathophysiology can be medically understood as the study of the functional changes that occur to an individual body when a response is needed to confront an intrusion by disease or injury. This will then be used by people working in the medical and medical related fields to find a form of treatment matching the condition. it can well achieved with a clear understanding of the progress of the illness in question. this is a combination of two medical fields which are closely related and complement each other to come up with a clear understanding of the study. Physiology, the study of the body and its functions combined with pathology, the study of disease and its impact on the body.

In most cases, anxiety is more prevalent in women than in men. According to the pathophysiology of anxiety, there are five major disorders related to anxiety which are social anxiety disorder (SAD), panic disorder (PD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Panic attacks represent an extreme form of anxiety. they possibly accompany the other disorders but in most cases, the panic attacks are associated with GAD. (OCD) and (SAD) and are approximately two times greater among women than among men.

The pathophysiology of anxiety has unveiled that anxiety has been postulated to arise from the brain area that registers the emotional significance of environmental stimuli and stores emotional memories. The results of the occurrence were described with terms like; cardiac neurosis, irritable heart syndrome, battle fatigue, and soldier’s heart.

In order to come up with solution to the anxiety related cases, pathophysiology of anxiety has revealed that many people have found help through joining self-help or support group and sharing their problems and achievements with others.Technology has also played a very big role where we find that through signing up to some social cites on the Internet people have created chat rooms where they meet online to share their most pressing and very happy moments, though such input should be sieved well before use due to the possibility of identity related issues.

Medical help should be preferred even if someone is seeking help from friends, religious leaders and any other non-medical help. There maybe other forms of personal therapy like use of stress management skills, meditation and aerobic exercises. These and others may be very useful in the provision of calm to an individual. In most cases, an individual may turn to their family which is a very important unit and as well reliable only if they handle the individual with understanding and giving room for medical help needed by the person.

On the wider range of dealing with anxiety, pathophysiology of anxiety should be done in wider ranges with the studies being done on and about other factors that are external to the body so that there is a reliable solution to the conditions that are both causes and effects of anxiety .
