I have used positive affirmations to shift my thinking, creating new possibilities in my life. Today's article provides positive affirmations that can be used while in the midst of a crisis.

Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life

Many of you have heard the phrase by Dr. Wayne Dyer, “Change your thoughts, change your life.” That’s exactly what happens when you say positive affirmations to yourself on a daily basis. I can attest to the power of positive affirmations. In a very short period of time, I changed my 5 figure income which was in the $50k range to a 6 figure income. Positive Affirmations caused me to see my value and worth. I gained the courage and ability to influence those in control of my promotions and pay raises.

But, positive affirmations are not just for financial gain. I learned the power of positive affirmation as I've battled a very rare form of cancer. I knew that there must be many others out there that had the same types of experiences and emotions as I when they fought through their own crisis. This article is meant to provide guidance on how you might be able to shift your thinking while going through your personal crisis.

Reshape Your Perception of Yourself.

Positive affirmations enable you to reshape the way you perceive yourself, rewriting the current scripts that play in your subconscious mind. You are able to draw new, more positive experiences to your life, healthy relationships and have an easier time manifesting the life you desire.

When possible, say the positive affirmations in the morning and again at night before you go to bed. Let those positive affirmations be the last thing you think about before falling asleep.

Write or Print Your Positive Affirmations on a Piece of Paper

It's best to either write your positive affirmations on a piece of paper or print out some that you find on line; tape them to a mirror and read them out loud to yourself. Although it may feel awkward at first, it is very powerful.

When I did this for the first time back in the 1990's, I cried as I didn't believe a word I was saying. However, push through the emotion and act as though you believe every word. Eventually, you will believe yourself.

Speaking Our Positive Affirmations

Let’s begin to reshape our thinking by taking in some deep breaths.
Breathe in through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Do this 3 times.

Imagine your feet having roots that firmly plant into the center of the earth. Feel yourself becoming centered and grounded.

Take in another breath by breathing in through your nose and exhaling out through your mouth.

Let us begin:

“I am supported in my time of need by loving people."
“I am courageous.”
“I am supported which enables me to be filled with courage.”
“I am strong.”
“I am supported which enables me to be filled with strength and face any challenge.”
“I accept help from others in my time of need.”
“People are just waiting for me to receive from them.”
“People are filled with joy when I accept their help.”
“Accepting help is a sign of strength.”
“I am present, focusing on the here and now in this very moment.”
“Solutions come to me on how to solve every challenge or problem that I face.”
“I have compassion for myself and others.”
“I am joy, therefore, I radiate joy.”
“I am love, therefore, I radiate love.”

Breathe in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.

Repeat these affirmations one more time:

Speak your Positive Affirmations in the Morning and Again Before Bedtime

When you are in the middle of the crisis, remember to speak your positive affirmations in the morning and again before bedtime on a daily basis.

I've also created these positive affirmations on a YouTube video. If you would like to follow along with me, you can access the video at:

Very nice post. :) I need to try some of those things. There is so much negativity all around that it is easy to be drawn into it. Posts like this help. Thanks for sharing. :)
