Protect and Preserve Yourself through Meditation

We are constantly bombarded by negative vibrations from media, people and society. It makes it really hard to maintain a positive mind. Meditation offers a good way to strengthen and keep the mind positive.

Negative Emotions Rule the World

Negative emotions rule the current world; in fact, negative vibrations are slowly engulfing the world. A person who wants to lead a positive life has to first learn to protect himself from the negative onslaught of people, media, society, and government bureaucracy. Unfortunately, in the current world order you will have to learn to live with it; there is no other option.

Taken collectively, the global consciousness is fast spiraling downwards. It is causing a decay everywhere – moral degradation in society, environmental damage everywhere, multiplication of morbid hatred (so strong that there are people who kill themselves to kill others – called suicide bombers). Greed and hatred appear to be the ruling emotions of the world. Those who are affluent and have power just cannot stop being greedier. If distorted minds apply technology to create remote controlled killing machines in one part of the world, they are met with 8 – 12 year old “human bombers” with remotes in their own hands and brainwashed into believing that pressing the remote only kills enemies, not them. This is demon-ification of innocent and ignorant children at the hands of few brain-damaged souls who are human personification of hatred. This is the lowest level humans can ever fall where humanity ceases to exist.

Is There Place for Positive People?

But, does it mean that there is no place for goodness and it is useless being a good person? The question is: how can anyone remain good when there is constant bombardment of negative energy from every direction? You try being good at workplace and people start stepping on your toes. You completed a project astonishingly well, suddenly you find colleagues maneuvering to take credit for your work. You want to do business honestly, but your wife thinks that you are a moron because you can’t fool people. The list can go on…

It’s a reactive situation, where you are automatically drawn into reacting. It is pretty hard to be with people and not get influenced by their negative behavior. But that is precisely the point; wisdom demands restraint, and not reaction. But, how to restrain and keep calm when negative things are happening to you? Yes, you certainly need some energy and strength to not react.

Meditation is Strength and Salvation

When you lose touch with inner stillness, you lose touch with yourself. When you lose touch with yourself, you lose yourself in the world. - Eckhart Tolle

It is here meditation can come to your rescue and help you tap the reservoir of energy that exists inside you. So, you need to draw energy from your inner world through meditation and stay positively charged. At the same time, be aware that economic, social, or environmental upheavals are mere manifestation of a rotting world order. Be very clear that you are not part of the negative system. If you are standing in a garbage yard, you don’t become garbage! This is the realization you need to keep in mind all the time and keep reinforcing it as often as possible. It will help you stay connected to the positive frame of mind and reduce the impulse to react to negativity.

Meditation is the tool that can help you stay positive. It is a process that connects you with yourself – Yoga, a real union. You get weak when you are disconnected from your inner self. This is the real problem. You did not create this world, nor its nasty people, and nor yourself; so why act like a manager of the universe? This is another mental problem, not just you but, we are all afflicted with. You are just a guest on this planet for a couple of decades, so why not be a good and responsible guest while you are here.

Unless you keep such healthy thoughts in mind, you are going to be dragged down by the gravity of negative people around you. The TRP bound media, visionless leaders, and greedy businessmen are constantly fueling the dynamo of negative energy, round and round and round; they need greedy and bad people to survive.

Therefore, in order to protect yourselves and preserve your good human core, you must meditate, meditate, and meditate; and be Happy!

Thanks Steve. Eckhart Tolle helps us connect to our ourselves; nothing can be more wonderful than that. Disconnection with self is the beginning of misery and a direct road to hell, if it exists somewhere !!

Seems little has really changed over the past 6000 years. I think we all meditate--whether we recognize it as such or not.

My friend, other than my older brother, I only have negative people that are in the family I grew up with, sadly. I love to meditate and those negative forces I have to call, dad, younger brother and sister are not in my life, by choice. A very informative piece on meditation. Thank you for sharing.:)

I sure have felt the saying is "Misery Loves Company" I feel the saying is true with stress and there is a lot of that in society at this time. I don't think I could make it right now in the city without meditating. It is good to know that we are not alone on this path! :) Peace, Light & Kindness
