Soya milk shake

It can be a bit of a challenge at times to get kids to eat a healthy diet. So why not try a fun, simple milk shake to help them get that very important five a day. This is an easy recipe and with a little guidance is suitable for all age groups, so let the kids get involved and learn about the benefits of healthy eating.

Soya milk shake, fun for kids

20g Plain or fruit soya yoghurt
50ml apple or pear concentrate
4 large strawberries
Half of a banana

Liquidiser or hand blender
Chopping board
Adult supervision required

Chop up the fruit and place in a liquidiser, add the yoghurt and concentrate. Blend until you have a smooth purée. If the shake appears to thick simply add some more concentrate. As this is a fresh fruit recipe it will not keep for long so relax and enjoy.

Why not mix it up a little and encourage kids to choose their own fruits. You could also pour the mixture into and ice lolly mould to make a fun summer treat.
