Moisturizing is the key to healthy and beautiful skin and it should be made a part of your daily skin care routine if you want glowing skin. Our skin requires plenty of moisture to keep it soft and supple and to keep wrinkles at bay. In summer our skin tends to get oily and often our face ends up looking like a frying pan as opposed to winter when our skin looks normal or dry.

The best tip for you is to apply a lightweight moisturizer in summers which can be easily absorbed into the skin. For those who have acne-prone or blemished and oily skin, you could settle for an oil-free moisturizer. The application of this oil-free moisturizer at least once daily will help maintain the moisture level of your skin by hydrating it and keep it soft and glowing.

A water-based moisturizer is the best option for the season of summer as it balances the moisture level of your skin and helps it look smooth. Water is the key to much of your skin concerns in case you did not know.

Water For Your Skin

Applying freshly prepared cucumber water (prepare this by mixing cucumber juice with water) or rose water on your skin is extremely beneficial.

Even fresh plain water if splashed on the face a few times daily in summer can work wonders for your skin.

Honey is one such product that helps retain the moisture of your skin and does not let it become dry. Therefore you could even mix honey with water and pat on your face multiple times a day if you have dry skin.

Drink plenty of water in the summer season to prevent dehydration. Make sure you have at least 8-12 glasses of water daily. In-taking lime water or fruit juices, in fact anything fluid, are a naturally effective way to help you tackle the problem of wrinkles and get that desired smooth and glowing complexion.

Other Useful Skincare tips for Summer

Never use soap as a cleanser. Instead use a mild face wash.

Scrub your skin with a mild scrub once every week.
This will help open up the pores and remove excess dirt, blackheads and impurities from your face.
