Take a Bath During Your Period: Yes or No?

Some sources say it is good because it helps to reduce menstrual cramps. Others say it is bad because the bacteria can easily get into the uterus through the cervix opening during the period times. Where is the truth?

It is true that during a menstrual period, a female's body is more vulnerable to infections. The building of female urogenital tract does not allow much liquid to get into the uterus, but still, the risk is bigger in these days. This is why, if you want to take baths during your period, you should follow the advice of the Brooklyn Gyn Place specialists.

Hygiene is the main point here. You must be not only more attentive to your personal hygiene during these days, but also to the hygiene of your bath. You must be sure about the quality of water your using. The best choice is filtered water. In addition, before you take a bath, you should process its surface with some safe antibacterial sanitizer.

The temperature of water also matters. It must not be too hot, because it will only increase bleeding and pain. Specialists do not recommend staying in the bath for more than 10 minutes. It will be good if you add some sea salt, herbs or essential aroma oils. If you choose herbs, it will be good to consult with your doctor first to avoid unwanted reactions on your body.
