The Stressful Misery

We witness many family things, go through many work related things, listen to many things, that produce stress that we have to deal with daily.Its called "stress." If it is then most of us need stress reduction techniques and deliverance from stressful misery. If it is good stress what does that really mean?

The Stressful Misery

What is stress and how do you handle it? That is a question that most of us are seeking answers to stress that keeps us miserable. There is good stress and bad stress but without a doubt bad stress causes misery. The word stress really cannot be defined because according to The American Institute of Health, it is such a highly subjective phenomenon that it defies definition.
And if you can't define stress, how can you possibly measure or really tell people how to control it? The term "stress", as it is currently used was coined by Hans Selye in 1936, who defined it as "the non-specific response of the body to any demand for change". Selye had noted in numerous experiments that laboratory animals subjected to acute but different noxious physical and emotional stimuli (blaring light, deafening noise, extremes of heat or cold, perpetual frustration) all exhibited the same pathologic changes of stomach ulcerations, shrinkage of lymphoid tissue and enlargement of the adrenals. He later demonstrated that persistent stress could cause these animals to develop various diseases similar to those seen in humans, such as heart attacks, stroke, kidney disease and rheumatoid arthritis.
To me though. since I am not a scientist or a Physician, I can hardly see our humanity connected with that of laboratory animals. I concur that there are some things you can use laboratory animals for, but not Stress. Since stress is something that no one can actually define, that causes misery in itself. How can one know if it is good or bad?
Today, a lot is said and written about stress but I fail to see in all the information that we have, how it is relevant to keep one from having diseases, heart attacks, cancers or from just being downright miserable. Maybe, just maybe, There is nothing that is stress. Maybe its just sin, guilt or innocence. Just maybe!

As a person who has lived a stressful life since birth till a couple of months ago, I can tell you the best way to cope with stress is to change your outlook and look at life in a positive manner, find out the cause of stress and then eliminate it from your life and that will open the door to abundance. There are hurdles, you have cross them effectively to make it through to the other side.
Misery is never part of anyone's life and it really kills you each time you cry and after being out there, I never ever want to be there ever again....
Have faith and never lose it come what may...

Good stress or bad stress depends on one's definition of good and bad. What may be good for you may be bad for some one else. You can be sure of one thing and that is "All things work together for good to those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose."
