The Thin Blue Line

A time of blessed saving from an illness
Brought about by a doctor's skilled hand
Along with the grace of God

A Floating Blue Line

I was looking at a screen which was close to my bed, over my head.
Divided in two by a thin dark blue line, the top half a delicate blue
Of no significance to me, but I somehow I understood and knew.
And the lower half gray, I watched the blue line float between the two.

___

Dreaming

Around the screen were distant faces, watching, wondering if I had died.
I felt pressure on my chest but of no consequence to me, I felt free,
Free to decide on which side of the line I should drift
I felt indifferent, no urgency, just peace, was I alive, had I lived.

A Shock

I floated and felt lazily tranquil, no decisions to make, I just wanted to dream.
The weight on my chest ceased, a sudden shock of violent pain
I opened my mouth, gasping and I shouted, drawing in air, I had not died
The doctor had pressured me hard, so hard, I opened my eyes, I must be alive.

A Dark Place

I was screened and then I dreamed, dreamed of what was not true.
I was taken down to the basement, amongst equipment and boxes.
I vaguely knew I was not in a good place, I felt tears on my face.
I lifted my head then fell back into a darkness, and knew nothing more.

"Hey, I'm Here"

I awoke alone, food on a tray, the television on, "Hey, I'm here".
A nurse stopped by, smiling and so full of life, I'm weak and alarmed.
A blood pressure band tightened on my arm, my temperature taken.
I had survived the unknown, God Blessed me, I had woken, unharmed.

Thank you, Mark. I am so glad to be back. Sorry about the dismal picture, which should have been deleted and I ended up with two "The Thin Blue Line" posts. The second one, with the picture needs to be deleted off my publications list. I have forgotten how to download pictures.

I replied to you on the 2nd post of this poem. I accidentally posted two posts of the same poem when I was trying to delete the dismal picture. Anyway, thank you again, Siva. I always remember you.

As she recovered from her past pain,
She sent all back down into memorylane.
To feel the fact that seared their heart,
As they heard of her journey and new start.

Getting close to the line of Life,
Showing the gift from above ending strife.
Bringing Ivy to come out and show way,
Leaving all astounded with nothing to say.

As she saw the face of the One Above,
Who looked down with utmost Love.
Cleansing and healing parts of the soul,
Bringing her into remission true and whole.

With all of Life singing to the heavens with Life,
Showing the cure coming from Creators' Wife.
Who regenerated life within her true endure,
Making her spread her life around once more.

Buzz: So pleased to be in touch with you again. Thank you for your good wishes. The dismal picture should have been deleted; I did not intend to include it but I have forgotten how to download pictures. Love to you, Buzzy Boy.

I no wonder to read the real time life story of a friend..
As I faced myself the time-
I saw my father on the medical bed-
I was so attached till to his grave...
And still I'm alive and doing the regular jobs..
But I feel sure-
I am not the person - that I have been some couple of years ago..
Now death and demise are reality and no surprise to me...........
