When we suffer from the ups and downs in life. When we are up there is no feeling like it. When we are down we need a spark to get us going again. It is important to figure out what works for you.

Life's Up's and Down's

Life has many ups and downs. There are time when we feel on top of the world and other times when nothing feels worthwhile. Life by its very nature is a series of peeks and troughs; even within a single day it is possible to go up and down through a roller-coaster ride of emotions and feelings.

When you are "UP" there is nothing like it in the world - we need to preserve that moment forever, but sadly we cannot. When you are down there is no worse feeling and sadly this can be the start point of depression, something we need to avoid at all costs.

Igniting the Spark

There are times where everything seems so enormous; the pressure can seem too great. Yet you have an idea of what you wish to do but at the same time moving forwards seems impossible.

Somehow in all of this there has to be a way to ignite the spark and get things going. You have to to understand what it is that will help you move forward. Once you have made that determination, ignite it and get it moving. Take the next step and get moving again.

Truly we all experience the ups and downs like the ebb and flow of the tides in nature, which is to say it's a natural occurrence yet we all surmount the difficulties. Thanks, Peter, for sharing this inspiration.

I just wait for the "down" to ride out its course just like the "up" does. I test myself how I am coping but both strengthen our will and character. But some mortal blows can give deep scars and leave us reeling. Thanks for the wise counsel, Peter - siva

Thank you, Peter. Some of our experiences "leave scars", as Siva said, and when we move forward we might be "dragging one leg", but we must keep moving.

It is true that some experiences do leave scars, yet at the same time some of the greatest people the world has known have carried their scars with them and have overcome.
