As a makeup artist, you could go with both! I use tinted moisturizer in the summer since it's so hot out, it gives a sheer coverage and won't melt off in the heat like foundation. Foundation is great for special events, photos, and it gives fuller coverage to those who feel uneasy about blemishes and uneven skin. I wear both, switching off day to day. It all really comes down to preference :D I see girls that have beautiful skin that choose to wear full coverage foundation. They're both awesome either way!
