Our skin is the mirror of our overall health and the state of our being, so we need to take special care of our whole body, not just our skin. This can be done by implementing some easy lifestyle changes and instilling some healthier routines. Here is what you can do to enhance you natural beauty.

1. Eat a healthy balanced diet

We are what we eat and it sure shows on our skin. Eating a healthy balanced diet is probably the most important thing you can do for your skin and your health. Organic vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds are very rich in antioxidants that promote healthy glowing skin because they induce the production of collagen. Increase your intake of citrus fruits, berries, nuts, fish, legumes and eggs for natural nutrients essential for our vitality. Stop eating processed and artificial foods, sugar, fats and salts.

2. Quit smoking and drinking

These two habits alone can completely ruin our skin and our complexion. They make us age prematurely and are entirely harmful for our health. Smoking and drinking cause wrinkles, broken blood vessels, dark spots, and rough saggy skin. They dehydrate our skin and drain it of all it needs. Quit – you can do it.

3. Hydrate

People tend to forget this simple but essential thing our body needs – plenty of water. Don’t replace water with coffee, juice or soda, as they don’t count. Make sure you drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of clean natural water a day. If you drink alcohol, coffee or exercise, increase the intake. Water will help boost your skin elasticity and keep you fresh and lively.

4. Rest well

Nothing makes or breaks our day like the quality of our sleep. Try to have regular sleeping patterns to get some good quality sleep. It is best if you can sleep 6 to 8 hours between 10pm and 8am. That’s when our body can make the most of it and reset at the optimal level.

5. Exfoliate and moisturize

Our skin always produces new cells and the old cells die and dry out making our skin appear dry on the surface. In order to remove them, we should exfoliate daily: there are many skin products available on the market, or we can make some DIY masks. Once our skin is clear of dead cells, we can take proper care of it by moisturizing it and pampering it.

6. Go to a spa

It is no secret every woman needs some professional pampering every once in a while. There are amazing facial rejuvenation clinics out there with professionals who will know what is best for our skin and how to make us look our best in the least amount of time. Explore new methods of skin care; you will be surprised at how efficient they are. Have a massage, soak in Epsom salts, reset your energy with a crystal healing session - you know you deserve it.

7. Unwind

Stress quickly shows on our skin and we should learn how to best manage it, if we can’t avoid it entirely. There are many ways, from taking up yoga and meditation, learning how to be mindful, walking in the nature as often as we can, to having sex and doing things that bring us joy.

It is important to realize that beauty comes from the inside and reflects on the surface of our body. Learn how to be happy, take good care of your body and don’t be afraid to shine!

They may be good tips, but I wouldn't recommend going to a spa after having worked in one of them. they're way too expensive for what they offer. People would be amazing of how many items there are in a kitchen that can be used for the body. Olive oil will leave it smothe skin after the shower or bathe. A drop of bicarbonate will clean teeth as well as desinffected. from bacteria. An egg yolk or the white of it will make wonderful cleansing masks. Why spend more when there are many natural products used in the kitchen that are a lot cheaper? Good article though and congratulations on being author of the day!
