This article was inspired by my son who fell and cut his head, which left me in a state or panic but my mom with her belief in home remedies saved the day.

Got a cut? Don't panic, home remedies that work.

Recently my son fell and got a cut. It was bleeding heavily and I knew it required stitches. In my state of panic my even my son stopped crying and stared at me spellbound. Thank god for mother and her home remedies. I will tell you the correct application for cuts but in my state of panic my mother applied a handful of salt directly to the cut and immediately put him under the shower. This stopped the bleeding until we could get to the hospital.

For minor cuts and scrapes;
1. Mix in a small cup some salt and warm water, get a clean rag and saturate the rag then keep blotting with rag. Bleeding should stop within 1-2 minutes.
2. Almost instantly white flour works for cuts just place some directly on the cut.
3. Cornstarch - same as flour.
