Toy Factory International gifts Kenya Red Cross

Kenya Vision 2030 Social Pillar-Health aims to provide an efficient integrated and high quality affordable health care to all Kenyans by the year 2030.

Kenya intends to improve access to health care for all through the implementation of Universal Health Care and strengthening the health systems

Leading Japanese company has donated a fully equipped mobile clinic to the Kenya Red Cross Society .

Mr. Koji Furuki from Toy Factory International Company while presenting the equipment at the ongoing Sixth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD-VI) summit in Nairobi praised Red Cross constitutions to health care sector in Kenya and the region at large.

“Toy Factory International will work with other partners to improving health sector and Kenya is on the right track to become the regional provider of choice for highly-specialized health care, ” said Mr. Furuki.

Health Cabinet Secretary Dr Cleopas Mailu said Kenya is committed to provide quality and affordable health care to all citizens. “As a country we have put in place strategies and mechanisms towards ensuring that we improve access to health care for our citizen. We appreciate we still have a long way to go, but we remain committed to this goal,” he said.

The minister said Kenya intends to improve access to health care for all through the implementation of Universal Health Care and strengthening health systems, improving the quality of health service delivery to the highest standards, increasing access to those excluded from health care for financial or other reasons, provision of robust health infrastructure network countrywide and promotion of partnerships with private sector.

Kenya Vision 2030 Social Pillar-Health aims to provide an efficient integrated and high quality affordable health care to all Kenyans by the year 2030. The priority is being given towards preventive care at community and household levels, through a decentralised national health-care system. This will be achieved especially through the devolution system where the funding for the health care sector and decision making has been handed over to the County governments, bringing services closer to the people.
