Today many nicotine addicts are going from smoke to vapor, that’s right vaping is the proper term which can be a bit confusing and intimidate to some. So, if you’ve considered vaping, whether it be as an alternative for your cigarette habit or because you think it's interesting, here's your source for every step of the process. From choosing the right vaping device for you to components and accessories you’ll find valuable information right here, so let's get started.

Vaping

Vaping is the term used to describe the act of using an electronic device that produces a vapor that the user inhales. Vaping devices are also known as E-cigs, boxes or mods varying from the size and style which is comprised of a heating component, battery, or wicking material that holds the liquid to be vaped. The liquid which usually includes a percentage of nicotine is usually referred to as e-liquid or e-juice. When the liquid gets absorbed by the wicking device that is wrapped around the heating spiral and it gets activated, a vapor is generated.

History of vaping

In 1963 Herbert Gilbert filed a copyright which he named a smokeless non-tobacco cigarette. This device was a heating element with a narrow tube that looked and felt much like a real cigarette. This copyright was the first the first ever version of an e-cig that would simply expire because the resources weren’t available at that time and were too expensive to be adopted or sold. But all that changed in 2003 when a pharmacist named Hon Lik copyrighted a sleek electronic cigarette that used ultrasound to generate vapor from the liquid. Lik’s device functioned differently from e-cigs of today but his invention renewed interest in vaping as the alternative for smoking. A few years after, Blu E-cigs was created and gained popularity for their ease of use and convenience. Blu E-cigs consisted of a heating element that is powered by a built-in battery. Today, Blu is the most popular e-cig brand that offers disposable and rechargeable versions. But these devices even though they offered convenience, they lacked what many smokers craved which is the strength. So, fearless DYIers began developing ways to create their vaping devices and making their own e-liquid. Eventually, manufacturers began making more powerful e-cigarette alternatives and selling kits and individual components. The latest high-end E-cigarette includes tanks, replaceable batteries, heating elements, tips, and accessories for a full vaping experience. There are four types of e-cigarettes which include disposables, pen mods, box style mods and mechanical mods.

Disposables

Disposable e-cigarettes are the most affordable, easiest and most available form of a vaping device on the market. These devices are usually all in one unit that can be thrown away as soon as the battery runs out or replaceable units where you can recharge the battery and exchange the cartridge tip which holds the juice, wick, and heating element.

Pen style mods

Pen style mods are made of the same components but are much bigger than the average cigarette or disposable. Generally, they can be exchanged allowing you to change the tank, heating oil, and tip. Pen mods are stronger than disposable e-cigs and will create more vapor with superior power. These mods are also rechargeable through a USB cable.

Box style mods

Just like pen style mods, box style mods can also be recharged to customize your vaping experience with a coil, tank and other accessories of your choosing. Box mods include a large battery and usually, come with additional wiring and circuitry. These mods often include built-in displays that show the temperature, watts, and other information. Box style mods provide more power than the others and usually come with various settings to choose from depending on the type of tank and coil you are using. There are also box mods that include temp control that auto-regulate the power and vapor making without the need for user involvement.

Mechanical mods

Mechanical mods were created with no need for additional circuitry. When the user turns on the switch the power from the battery is transferred to the coil. This type of mod is not recommended for beginners because they hold too much power for someone with no experience. But they are one of the most reliable types of e-cigarettes available on the market.

Vaping oils

Vaping oils can be divided into two categories which include essential oils (rosemary, chamomile, lavender, peppermint, and more) and Cannabis oils (CBD oils, THC oils, and hemp oil).

Hemp oil

Hemp oil does not include the medicinal advantages that THC or CBD oil include. Since it's made from hemp and not from marijuana. It includes small traces of THC and CBD which make marijuana oil vaping so favored and useful.

Marijuana oil

Users of Marijuana oil tend to focus on the concentration of THC which is the component that gives you the “buzz” feeling when you smoke weed. Medical Marijuana has now been legalized in over 29 states and is used to treat various conditions like Epilepsy, Depression, Parkinson’s Disease, ALS, Stroke, PTSD, anxiety disorders, and much more.

CBD oil

Cannabidiol oil is a substance that can be found in the human body. CBD therapy can be very helpful when dealing with arthritis, severe migraines, MS, and other diseases. This type of oil does not contain THC which can be used safely by patients who suffer from these diseases and do not need THC to relieve pain.
