It's important for our health to maintain a balanced, variety diet to achieve our daily vitamin needs. So what exactly do these much required vitamins do for us?

The Benefits Of Vitamins


Vitamins are either fat soluble or water soluble. Vitamins A, E, D and K are fat soluble, that means they are stored by the liver and used up by the body very slowly. A build up of these fat soluble vitamins can become toxic, that's why pregnant women should avoid large amounts of these vitamins, especially A. The B complex vitamins and vitamin C are water soluble. The body uses these vitamins very quickly and any excess will be eliminated through urine, that's why they should be replaced on a daily basis.
