Many questions are asked about weight loss; how can I lose weight? What must I do to lose weight?

How Did You Gain That Weight?

If you want to know how to lose weight, you must first of all learn how you gained the weight. Many people, mostly women, are in a frenzy to lose weight.

However, weight loss is not limited to women as I have heard that one important politician from Nigeria traveled to Spain to receive a surgery to lose abdominal fat. He succeed, but, his political life took a nose-dive afterwards due to corruption as he was arrested in Britain but he sneaked away and arrived in Nigeria unannounced. He lost his position and was convicted of corruption which was why he ran away from Britain in the first place.

Therefore, weight loss is for all, just like weight gain. So, if you are desirous of losing that weight, find out what led to the weight gain in the first instance.

By learning to avoid them, you will no longer gain weight and then you start finding a way to lose the fat you had accumulated over time.

How To Lose Weight

There are many ways to lose weight in a healthy manner. You can lose weight by carrying out exercises targeted at losing weight. Of course, not all exercises are meant to help you lose weight. However, with exercises, your metabolism rate increases thus enabling you burn more calories than when you were not exercising. Exercise is good for your health.

I will leave the experts to suggest those exercises targeted specifically at weight loss.

Another way you can lose weight is by making lifestyle changes that will involve your diet and other things that affect your weight. I have heard that cigarette smoking is not good for your health. In fact, in many countries, there is a warning that smokers are liable to die young among other warnings to smokers.

I am aware that in some countries, cigarette packs are now devoid of colors and are not advertised in stores any longer.

Excessive consumption of alcohol is also to be considered if you want to lose weight through lifestyle changes. There are other lifestyle changes you will have to make in addition to the ones above. I leave you to fill them in since you know yours better than I do.

Losing Weight With Weight Loss supplements

Losing weight with weight loss supplements is by far the most convenient way for many people to lose weight. This is because they are not tasked much; just pop some pills into your mouth and wash them down with water or juice; or, place a patch somewhere on your body and that's all.

I do not know how they work but many people who take them are claiming that it works for them. How can I question them?

Because of the love for weight loss pills and supplements, there are many of them on the internet at this time; too many to count! I am not using them but, I will not tell you not to use them if it is working for you.

Yet another great article I felt quite guilty reading it as I was eating a hamburger and my Wife has just passe me a large slice of strawberry shortcake with ice cream for afters. Enjoyed the read though

Thanks, Steve. You can still eat those and not require to lose weight if done in moderation. Making eating them a habit is where the problem comes from.

I have a lot of belly fat to lose..and I know the reason, sitting for long hours, eating too much, and sleeping after eating. If only I could correct it..:)

You can if you want to. You can do exercises targeted at your stomach region which will help you to stretch the area and build muscles.

You can also cut down what you eat before sleeping if you cannot do without eating at that time.

Have you realized that simple exercises just after meals increases the rate at which digestion take place?

Try it starting today and you will notice the difference after a week.

Eating before sleeping...we have late lunches and late dinners. And gotta check up which exercises after meals that you are referring to. I was told we need to avoid exercises, and may be even walk after dinner.

Very informative article. Thank you Bromnamdi for sharing. Low Carb Diet is an good option to reduce weight on a healthy way, but needs a lot of research and reading about diet in order to achieve the goal.
