Yes, You Can be Self Confident!
by adminaspx in Psychology, May 31, 2011

Self confidence has a direct relation with success. The more self confidence you have means the more likely it is you’ll succeed. Despite the fact that.
Although some of the factors affecting self confidence are beyond our control, however; you still be able to build self confidence if you started to use these five strategies in your daily life.

Many people, just like you, have learned the simple truths about how to gain the self confidence they desire to become successful. Don’t allow other’s words or perceived thoughts dictate how you feel. When you begin to trust in yourself, you feel stronger and more confident. It is a wonderful feeling!

You will soon feel much more bold if you practice these 5 simple techniques as outlined below, you will find you feel more steady and dependable as you make decisions and you will become more successful.

Strategy 1
Try to practice reacting aggressively and positively towards the fears you get in your imagination.
Do this strategy every time fear creeps into your imagination. See yourself reacting aggressively and positively towards those fears. It will be just a matter of time before those reactions you had in your mind extend to reality when those or similar situations show up in your actual life.

Strategy 2
Take a risk. Take a Chance.
Do you know that taking risks reduces lack of self confidence and sets you free to do what your heart desires (only legal and permitted ones of course). When you get the choice to sit it out or dance, don’t hesitate to choose to dance. By not taking the chances, you will be missing opportunities and regret is a terrible feeling.

Strategy 3
Show that you know it is impossible to fail using your actions.
Whengoing to do what your heart desires, the confidence you will gain is really immeasurable. Just go ahead and do it. Really, you will feel great! Soon then you will be looking for more opportunities to grow your confidence more and more.

Be well assured that it can be done, and you can do it. Think about how it will be when your project is finished, and wonderful. when thinking these positive thoughts it will invoke that ability within you to move forward, and get the job done. If a mistake does happen along the way, do not become stressed and frightened, just correct your actions as you go along.

Strategy 4
Learn how to relax your fear away.
Psychology studies suggest that it is impossible to feel fear when your muscles are kept relaxed. So whenever you recognize the fear or anxiety creeping in during a situation, identify those tightening muscles and try to focus on relaxing them.

Strategy 5
Switch the feeling of fear with a more positive feeling.
Think about something you like and it makes you feel happy. Perhaps a wonderful memory from the past? Reproduce that same feeling and dwell on what is positive and enjoyable. Replace that negative thought with your good memory.

Remember, you are the doctor of yourself.

I also like imagining positive outcomes. There is no point in imagining the worst, you are just setting yourself up for failure. Good article saurik.
