I was inspiration to write this article last night as the rain beat down on the caravan we are currently staying in. For the last three days I have been constantly listening to align to zero by Matthew Dixon and Dr joe Vitale, and I am now feeling calmer than I have felt for a very long time.

Always Remember You Are Not Alone

Although I have made huge steps in the fight against depression there are still times when I have struggled and got down, but slowly I am finding more and more joy I life.

Getting through something like depression is a uphill struggle but it is possible, and those of you reading this post who suffer from depression are not alone.

For years I hid my problems from those around me but that just made things worse, but since being honest with myself and those around me I have discovered that there is a huge amount of support available. If you are scared of the anti-depression drugs you don't have to take them as there are other ways of getting through the tough times. Personally I have found meditation a huge help as it helps me to slow down and find a calm place when things are tough. Yes there are ups and downs, but depression can be beaten and you do not have to face it on your own.

Please remember that you are never alone, there is always help available and people who can show you a way out of depression, all you need to do is ask for help.

Meditation can help I guess but the problem is to stay committed and focused on it! Once took an anti-depressant - the first night it felt though I was going to die. Never can go back there - with no disrespect to those who take it with no ill-effects. Then I am told I should ride out the storm, as it does take a while to get over. When we are depressed we wish that "thing bugging us" will go away or end. For eg a "job-from-hell". But no sooner are we out of the "job-from-hell" we realize that the next one is also, well, a "job-from-hell". Sometimes it's not "that thing" we think about that is the cause of our depression but the "way we view life". Is that true - that it never in fact goes away, and we must manage it! Thanks very much for your awesome and thought-provoking post!
